【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversdry-powderresinsofpolytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)thathavebeenpreparedfromdispersionsofPTFEbymanufacturingtechniquesthatinvolvecontrolledcoagulationofthedispersion.Theseresinsaregenerallyknownas"fine-powder"resinsor"coagulated-dispersionpowder"resins.Theconversionoftheseresinstofinishedproductsnormallyinvolvesaprocesscalled"pasteextrusion,"andsometimesinvolvesformativeprocessessuchascalendering.Avolatileliquidispresentasaprocessingaidduringtheseformativestagesofconversion,andissubsequentlyremovedduringthefinishingstagesofconversion.ThesePTFEresinsarehomopolymersoftetrafluoroethylene,or,insomecases,modifiedhomopolymerscontainingnotmorethan1%byweightofotherfluoromonomers.Theusualmethodsofprocessingthermoplasticsgenerallyarenotapplicabletothesematerialsbecauseoftheirviscoelasticproperties.ThematerialscoveredhereindonotincludemixturesofPTFEwithadditivessuchascolors,fillers,orplasticizers;nordotheyincludereprocessedorregroundresinoranyfabricatedarticlesbecausethepropertiesofsuchmaterialshavebeenirreversiblychangedwhentheywerefibrillatedorsintered.Themethodsandpropertiesincludedarethoserequiredtoidentifythevariousresins.Anadditionalprocedureisprovidedintheappendixforfurthercharacterizationoftheresins.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsasdetailedinIEEE/ASTMSI10aretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.ThefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytotheSpecimenPreparationSection,Section9,andtheTestMethodsSection,Section10,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeWarningnoteinforaspecifichazardsstatement.Note1-InformationinthisspecificationistechnicallyequivalenttorelatedinformationinISO12086-1andISO12086-2.
